    Description

    Offered here is an EXTREMELY RARE original hand-painted glass sculpture by famed Swedish modern artist Ulrica Hydman-Vallien.  This sculpture, part of a series known as "Birdy", is hand signed and numbered, and was created in 1989 for Kosta Boda. Official design number is 98961.  After much online research, I have been unable to find a single one of these sculptures for sale. Similar examples occasionally appear in European auction house listings, or are housed private collections. Ulrica passed away in 2018, and these pieces are very sought-after.

    Approximately 7 cm (2.8 in.) tall

    Excellent condition. No flaws, chips, cracks, scratches, or blemishes. Original Kosta Boda sticker, which I have seen on some of these rare sculptures, was removed at some point. Hand signed and numbered on bottom by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien.
